Flashpoint Update for 2010
Update from Flashpoint Forum:
As some of you know, here in Australia the big convention each year is CanCon. For those not familiar, it is held in Canberra our National Capital over a long weekend that includes Australia day, our July 4th for all you Yankees out there, so it is always big, very big.
We have a large stand at CanCon next year 23-25 January 2010 where we will be show casing our Koenig Krieg and Flashpoint ranges.
We intend to be releasing a new range of Taliban, Iraqi Insurgents and the PBR and a sampan at CanCon. We are also hoping the M125/M106 will be ready as well. We have lots of other new items happening but since there is a small thing called Christmas and another called New Year, which is traditionally the holiday season here in Australia, we doubt we will get any of them master moulded, production moulded, cast, picked and packed by the middle of January which will be our deadline for the convention.
In regards to gun trucks, we have one already done, we have had the first test casts. We are just waiting on some weapons for it to be completed and it will be released, hopefully early in the new year.
For example, the second civilian range is scheduled for completion by the sculptor on Jan 7th. It includes a cart for the water buffalo with a driver, a woman pulling a cart, a "city" girl who I am sure will be distracting for the troops, and some other very nice poses. I also got this morning photos from another sculptor of an entire set of new medics and wounded figures, which we will be including in the HQ packs as well as creating a new "medics and Wounded" pack for players using other rules like Ambush Valley or FNG for skirmish games. This same sculptor is also working on 14 new ANZAC poses for the ANZAC Mortar platoon, ANZAC Assault Pioneer Platoon and ANZAC Support platoon which will include AT, Sustained Fire MG and recon sections.
All up 2010 will see nearly 100 new figures, vehicles and accessories added to the Flashpoint range alone.
